Welcome.

Thank you for stopping by. During the past couple of years, churches across Japan had to grapple with the challenges of worshiping together while keeping members safe in the midst of a pandemic. Some churches had the equipment and knowledge to launch into streaming their services live, while others used video conferencing software like Zoom to hold worship services.

I am thankful that during that time, the Lord provided me with an incredible opportunity of learning and service in producing live online worship services. Working as an on-air meteorologist and broadcasting technician for 14 years provided the experience to help support churches produce high-quality live worship broadcasts.

Churches can choose various ways to go online with their services, but some may struggle with certain aspects of their live streams, such as putting graphics on video or having audio quality that helps with the experience of the service. Without technical staff, producing weekly services is even more challenging.

Over the past couple of years, I had the chance to launch an automated production control system at Tokyo Union Church (a church that has served Tokyo since 1872) and a simplified production system at Redeemer Church of Roppongi (a church plant that is serving the heart of Tokyo). I hope that this website will provide you with some understanding on how to work with technology in your ministry, and by sharing some insights from my experience launching these systems, I hope that it will be helpful in your ministry.

There are many possibilities to produce a great live experience of the worship service. Ultimately, the online broadcast is an expression of the church, and producing services with simplicity and excellence is key to a sustainable online ministry. There are tutorials for getting your ministry online on this page, and you can always get new ideas through the innovation blog. Even in the midst of a challenging pandemic, may the Lord redeem this time to enable the church to reach those across Japan and around the world like never before.
